Man, it's cold out.

That, and it's been months since I've updated.

But I'm not too mad, considering I'm sort of... writing to myself. Meh.

I was so furious to learn of this. In short, a student was in the library of UCLA after 11 at night (for security reasons, the library requires that only students be in the library after that time, which is another wtf in itself), and was approached by campus police and asked for i.d. He accused them of singling him out because of his race, things got ugly, they asked him to leave with them, he dropped to the floor (passive resistance a la Ghandi, I suppose) and then screamed to draw a crowd so that there would be witnesses. And the police proceeded to tazer him. OVER FOUR TIMES.

What sickens me is that this student was protesting very passively (although, he was shouting and name-calling). Tazers are required when the person is putting up a fight. The officers (there were a few of them!) could have just as easily picked the kid up and carried him out. But no. Violence is just easier.

Sigh. Oh, and also? New pictures for OOTP movie are out...[info]cleolinda has the links on her site. Um, Harry's hair equals ew. Jes' sayin'.

Crapfacepants.

Okay, I really, really needed to vent for a second. Who cares that like, one person will read it.

I'm getting really pissed at all these internet ploys for attention. I'm reading one right now about some chick named Renee who had a "disease" for which she didn't even know the name, and was in the hospital on life support or whatever, but somehow heroically able to post on the internet. Remarkable.

And for all you Harry Potter fans, I'm sure many of you have heard of dear Ms Scribe. It in it's entirety is quite long and confusing... took me a few days. It's just all so ridiculous.

It's a shame... the internet is raising a generation of liars. I mean, you can be whoever and whatever you want on this thing. Ri-friggin-diculous.

Sigh.

Well, lookie here. I'm updating! *pats self on back* Good for me!

Well, thanks to the prompting of [info]meevish I'm going to join StarTrek.com, because not only do I need friends somewhere to discuss intelligent things about Star Trek with other intelligent fans, but I really think my friends are tired of hearing how lame it is that Deanna has a seat on the bridge, or how Q could save Data from ever having died if he WANTED to, or how much Neelix freaks the crap out of me. Or at least, I assume they're tired of it... by the time I finish ranting about how Data is more human than the rest of us, they're faking sleep, so I never get the chance to ask them.

L'anyhoo, that's all she wrote... for now...

Well, first entry.  I'm probably never going to update  I'm going to update as often as possible, so that people can raed about my mundane life. I mean, normally I'm opposed to the idea of blogging unless it's about something funny (take [info]cleolinda for example. Crap, that's funny stuff. Even the mundane becomes, like, the best comedy I've ever read), and frankly, I have no idea whether or not anyone will read this save my friends and family, but it's worth a shot, right? So welcome. Who... whoever you are...

Anyhoo. I'm feeling rather dorky, at the moment, because I'm reading about Star Trek. Yup. A Star Trek website. Laugh if you will, I'm finding a lot out about Vulcans. I mean, come on, I bet a good three-quarters of you out there can say Next Generation was a prominant figure in your childhood, right? Don't deny it. It only makes it more embarassing. Speaking of childhood...

OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS. I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean (squee) the other day, and one of the pre show adverts was for....

Wait for it....

Prepare yourself...

TRANSFORMERS.

That's right. As in, Transformers: Robots in Disguise. I had no IDEA they were making a movie. I mean, woah. That's my childhood. In a movie reel. Whoa.

Anyhoo, I'm bored already. You see? You see what happens? More later...
